What’s to do in the summer when everyone’s gone?
Take a nap on the lake side, or take the rubber boat out and let it float down the Limmat river. Ahhh! I miss summer. But don’t get that wrong, Zurich is always packed in summer even though a lot of the locals are gone for holidays.
Where can you find the best records in town?
What can you do for a first date?
I’m not too much into fancy ‘boring’ candle light dinners. So, if it’s a sunny day you go for a walk on the Lake Side or Uetliberg and enjoy the stunning view. If it’s a cold day, you take your lady and enjoy the most delicious Hot Chocolate on the planet at the Cozy Cafe Schober.
Where can you lose your dignity?
You start Friday evening with Bar hopping and you keep going until Sunday morning in one of the crazy clubs of Zürich. Just ask the locals where there is still a party going, many of them will know or even take you along.
A good address for brunch?
‘Kafi dihei’ is a great spot. The ‘home’ feeling of the Bar/Restaurant makes it all even more special. You have the feeling like you are sitting in your Grandma’s living room enjoying a French croissant or their home made sour dough bread or Hummus with fresh cut vegetables! Mmmmm..
The best plan to chill on a Sunday?
Sunny Josephwiese, Letten. It’s a great outdoor spot to just relax or do some sport activities like beach volleyball or pingpong etc…
Best view of the town?
I would say Uetliberg. Also Politerrace has a fantastic view over Zurich and it’s free!
A local product?
That would totally be Rosy’s Gin, locally made where I live in a town 10 minutes away from Zurich city. The best gin ever and they only produce a limited amount.
