It’s been 9 years since Bread and Butter London kicked off their series of parties across East London, and they’re celebrating in style, with the distinguished House producer and DJ, Jimpster, headlining at Saturday’s party.
Bread and Butter have edged 1 year closer to their double digit birthday, and they have a lot to celebrate as well as reminisce – sharing many good memories hosting the likes of Tobi Neumann, Ivan Smagghe and Dinky.
Jimpster AKA Jamie Ordell, headlines the party this Saturday who has claim to some serious certified knowledge of House music, displayed not only through his own tracks such as ‘English Rose‘ and ‘A Love Like This‘, but through the establishment of his record labels Freerange and Delusions of Grandeur.
These times are exciting for House Music lovers, as we can prepare for the seventh LP mastered by Jamie. ‘Silent Stars’ will be released on Free Range Records on May 13th.
Ahead of Saturday’s party, Jamie gave us a personal insight into what he was digging in his crate at the moment…
“Loving the soulful vibes on this raw basement jam from Ross From Friends.
A fine example of when you catch just the right vibe from a simple loop and brilliantly produced drums.”
“Another simple yet highly effective track which works so nicely on the dance floor thanks to that repetitive vocal hook and stripped back groove.”
“Don’t think I’ve played a single set the last few years without at least one Scott Grooves jam making an appearance. His stuff is so good and in my opinion he’s criminally underrated. Fat production, simple hooks to get you locked in and most importantly, beats to make you move!”
“Seriously deep and pumping house with a French touch from another exciting producer from Paris. Seems like there’s something in the water there right now with such a healthy house scene and emerging talent. Check Flabaire, Mad Rey, Malin Génie and Lazare Hoche for more proof!”
“One of those classic-sounding loopy, bumping house tracks which create good vibes when played on a big system.”
