Internationally renowned dj and producer currently living in Amsterdam, Patrice Baumel is a long-running resident dj at Trouw Amsterdam, one of Europe’s leading venues for electronic music, running his “Black Magic” and “HiFi” nights at the club. With a lots of energy and a sense of adventure, his sets and productions create (on his words)  “techno music for grown-ups”. We asked this skilled and prolific artist to picked out his 5 favorite venues around the world.

Rainbow Serpent Festival (Australia)

Best sound system I have ever heard, beautiful surroundings and a fantastic crowd – this is a very rewarding experience.

Warung (Brazil)

The unique thing about Warung is that it’s a huge club that is best played like a small club. Going deep works better than banging it out. The mornings when the sun rises over the Atlantic Ocean and blazes into the venue are pure bliss.

Sisyphos (Germany)

It’s like an alternitive reality taking place behind high walls in the eastern part of Berlin. Perfect hangout in the summer.

Sub Club (Scotland)

Scots party harder. No warm-up required, the atmosphere is there immediately and doesn’t drop all night.

Panoramabar (Germany)

On a good day it’s an exceptional place where time doesn’t matter. I generally love clubs with daylight.
