This summer a new festival is coming to London… and I know what you might already think. « Day festival » is not my crack… Sunfall Festival offers various performances during the day, a record fair and a clubbing twist at night. We can’t wait to be there.

Sunfall has an amazingly eclectic line-up and offers after parties to different venues in Central and South London to prolong the fun until the dawn.

Feelin’ happier? Organised by the owner of XOYO, Phonox and The Nest, the festival will take place in South London on the 9th of July in Brockwell Park.

The line-up is described as eclectic – from techno, jazz, drum n bass, soul, disco, house to pure south London vibes. Promoters promised the festival “reflects the many and varied sounds of London”.

The artists playing are indeed really varied the selection is just perfect – good dose of disco / soul / jazz/ techno:

  • Henry Wu – incredibly talented soul, jazz and hip-hop influenced joy artist!
  • Kamasi Washington – Have a listen at The Epic his latest album!
  • Omar S – I also want to know!
  • Jamie XX , Yusseff Kamal Trio, Mister Saturday, Hunee, Jeremy Underground, Goldie, Joy Orbison AND SO MUCH MORE!!

The festival continues at night in 8 iconic venues in London and therefore offers a clubbing twist to the festival. ”The festival sees equal attention paid to daytime and night-time programming – daytime tickets are purchased alongside a ticket for a late-night session at one of several clubs and venues across the capital.”

During the day, you ll be able to buy vinyls – because you love them! Sunfall are proud to announce they will be hosting an Independent Record Fair at our inaugural festival this July, adding to Brockwell Park’s daytime schedule. “We’ve reached out to some of our favourite labels of late to bring you a market supporting new artists at their most exciting.”

They are also having a special partnership with brilliant corners. “We’re going to try and bring a little something of what Brilliant Corners is about to this exciting new music event. This means installing a sound system as good as what we have at Brilliant Corners, and programming a list of record collectors that best represent us and the music we like. We’ll also be serving Japanese food.

If you’re not in London or doing something else, you ll have the opportunity to tune in to Balamii Radio and stream straight from the site.

I personally cannot wait! See you all there.
